Material

TENCEL™ is made from sustainably-sourced wood from sustainably managed sources. The certified biobased fibres are manufactured using an enviornmentally responsible production processs and has won awards for its low environmental impact. The result is a fabric that's more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.

Care

By following our recommended care instructions you will prolong the life of your purchase and be able to enjoy it for many years to come.

Machine Washing

Pre-wash your natural linens before first use.

Separate linens from other items in the wash - especially polyester which tends to create pilling, and items with heavy zippers, which can damage the fabric

Do not overload the washing machine, as it can break down fibers from excessive abrasion and agitation

Wash in cold water with non-chlorine bleach detergent on a gentle cycle with a cold water rinse.

Detergent

Use a mild, non-alkaline liquid detergent without added bleach or whiteners as they can also weaken and discolour certain fabric fibres

Do not pour detergent directly on linens. Instead, add it to the water as the wash tub fills or dilute with water, then add linens

We recommend using a eucalyptus based detergent such as wool wash which you can find in your local supermarket.

Fabric softener

Is not recommended for this product

Stains

Clean stains as quickly as possible.

Do not strenuously scrub the stain away, we recommend to gently soak, wash or blot it out.

Remember once a stain is truly set, it is often difficult to remove

When a fabric comes in contact with bleach or benzoyl peroxide it will permanently stain/discolour. If the discolouration is a green hue it is due to bleach and if it is an orange hue then it is due to peroxide exposure. As these ingredients are known to be in certain skin and acne treatments, we recommend you be aware of the potential staining and take necessary precautions to avoid permanently damaging your linen.

Bleaching

Do not use chlorine bleach - it can weaken fibers and cause them to yellow prematurely

Drying

Line drying is recommended.

Shake out damp linens before placing them in the dryer - tumble dry on low heat until slightly damp.

Never use a high heat setting or over dry; this will weaken the fibers, leading to shrinkage and shorten the life of linens

Remove from dryer when still slightly damp to prevent wrinkles

Smooth and fold or press with an iron if desired

Ironing

If you do choose to iron your item, we recommend that you use your iron the reverse on a warm setting. Please avoid ironing directly on any decorative panels, studs or buttons.

Chemicals

Some hair and skin products may cause discoloration and pilling of linens (acne lotions or toothpastes that contain oxidizing agents)

Storage

Store linens in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area

Linens stored long-term should be wrapped in white cotton or acid free paper

Avoid storing linens in plastic bags or boxes, which can cause permanent yellowing
