Regular care (weekly)

  • Spot clean only with warm water & mild detergent.
  • To dry, lay flat away from direct sunlight.
  • Allow to thoroughly dry before re-use. Vacuum mattress regularly using low suction.
  • Rotate mattress regularly.
  • Do not soak filling.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Do not iron.

The foams used in our mattresses are CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning they are made without formaldehyde, ozone depleters, heavy metals and flame retardants (PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP), and promote indoor air quality through low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). Learn more.

We offer same day delivery on furniture and mattress orders in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide (for in-stock products). Delivery is FREE on mattresses and small items and our fast & flexible furniture delivery lets you choose a window that suits you.

Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

      Best mattress ever

      We purchased a King and King Single Koala Plus Mattress. After months of back, neck and shoulder pain I have enjoyed 2 months now of painfree sleep. The mattress is fantastic. And with our QLD summer the cooling insert has worked a treat - no sweating through the night. And as for movement - there is none, as in, my large husband who likes to throw himself over when he turns, does not disturb me anymore. As for making the bed - it's a breeze. It's not heavy so I can lift the corners easily to fit the sheets on. We will never go back to the heavy inner spring coil mattress. We are intending to purchase more Koala mattresses for the other beds in the house.

      Also a shout out to the customer service and communication. It was excellent - and we ordered our mattresses during the Christmas New Year period and still received prompt service.

    FAQs about the Koala Polar+ Mattress

    What are PolarBands™?

    PolarBands™ are an innovative cooling technology that are designed to remove excess body heat in order to achieve a naturally comfortable temperature. Highly thermally conductive PolarBands™ are embedded in the top layer of your Polar+ Mattress, around the centre of the body, in order to conduct heat away from the places where it usually accumulates.

    Do you sell the Polar+ topper on its own?

    No, the Polar+ topper is not available to purchase separately.

    How do I change the seasonal topper?

    To change from the winter side to the summer side, unzip and flip the topper. Align the zipper ends and fully close the zipper.

    How do I change the firmness?

    To change the firmness, unzip the seasonal topper, and flip the comfort layer over to your preference. Check that the firmness label has your preferred comfort level facing upwards. Replace the seasonal topper, align the zipper ends and fully close the zipper on the topper.

    I've just bought a new mattress, which side of the comfort layer should I try first?

    Congratulations on purchasing your very own Koala mattress from Australia's most awarded mattress range! We recommend trying out the medium-firm side first to get a feel for the mattress and see how it interacts with your body. If after a few nights you're finding it a bit too soft, you can simply unzip the topper, flip over the comfort layer, and zip it back up for a firmer feel.

    What is CoolThread™ fabric?

    CoolThread™ is a special blend of cooling yarn, designed to feel instantly cool against the skin, and wick away moisture to help you stay cool throughout the night.

    Can I wash the seasonal topper? Can I dry clean the seasonal topper?

    To help keep your seasonal topper looking its best, we recommend you follow the care instructions, and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Unfortunately washing or dry cleaning the topper will damage the Kloudcell® foam, and may void your warranty.

    Do I need to use a mattress protector?

    We recommend you use a mattress protector to keep your Koala Polar+ looking its best. As the CoolThread™ fabric will have the maximum cooling effect when it's closer to your skin, we suggest you try a lightweight protector like the Great Barrier Mattress Protector.

    *Koala R&D testing found the Koala Polar+ Mattress achieves a surface temperature 5°C cooler than the Koala Plus Mattress over 8 hours.
