    Our coolest mattress ever

Keep your cool all year long with the Polar+ Mattress. Our PolarBands™ are designed to dissipate body heat, keeping you cooler even through the hot summer months. It’s the cool change you’ve been waiting for.

The ultimate relief for hot sleepers

PolarBands™ actively absorb and release body heat for 8+ hours. Paired with CoolThread® and cooling Kloudcell, it's perfect for hot sleepers.

    Deep, cloud-like comfort

With 60% more Kloudcell® foam than the SE Mattress, this layer offers a cushioned feel. It relieves pressure without losing stable support.

    Ready for any Australian season

Your quilted topper has two sides built-in. Easily switch between soft organic cotton when it’s cold, or crisp CoolThread® when you need cooling relief.

Your perfect support, chosen at home

The double-sided Kloudcell® comfort layer offers two feels: medium-firm or firm. Easily unzip and flip the layer to find your sweet spot. No tools, just better sleep.

The comfort behind every Koala mattress – Kloudcell®

Kloudcell® is our signature comfort foam. It’s designed to balance soft cushioning with steady support, help reduce heat build-up, and respond easily as you move through the night.

    Soft and supportive

So you feel cushioned, not stuck

Kloudcell® foam gently cushions pressure points while staying supportive under broader areas like your back and hips, helping keep your body comfortable and aligned across different sleep positions. Its structure is designed to ease pressure at the shoulders, hips and knees without the sag or sink often associated with traditional memory foam.

    Breathable

    So heat doesn’t build up

Kloudcell® allows air to flow through the mattress thanks to its open foam cell structure, helping excess heat escape so you sleep cooler and stay on top of the bed, not stuck in it like traditional memory foam.

It’s tested to be up to 40% cooler to the touch and 30× more breathable than the worst-performing competitor foams.

    Instantly responsive

So movement doesn’t interrupt your sleep

Unlike slow-response memory foam, this fast-responding foam reacts instantly when you move, making it easier to change positions with less disturbance. It absorbs motion at the comfort layer, forming the foundation of our Zero Disturbance® motion reduction.

    Built to last

So comfort holds up over time

Kloudcell® is made with durable, high-density foam designed to hold its shape and comfort over years of use, delivering consistent comfort night after night.

      So good, it's a requirement

Having had a Plus Mattress for over a year now, together with the occasional night on other mattresses, it's very easy for me to say this is the best mattress I've ever had. From the moment you lay down on it, you can feel the super plushness of the Plus Mattress without sacrificing any support. As a side-sleeper, this combination is a must have.

The mattress is so good, I've buying another for my child.

      Flexible with movement and function

I love the flexibility of changing the firmness, and the zip and tags make it so simple to do. As advised in booklet, it food take about 3 days to develop it's structure but it was still great to sleep on from day 1. I would recommend / buy again.

      No bedframe no worries

Despite still waiting for my bedframe to arrive, I would hardly notice because this mattress is so cosy! Plenty of support and the right amount of snug. My back is very pleased with the Koala plus.

Love Koala - the whole family has them

I have recently replaced my mattress with this one - definitely less night time sweats (important for a woman over 50!) and so so comfy. Awesome

Yes the delivery is free as promised anywhere and we live on an island

Got our new mattress and obeyed all the instructions for installation and my wife and i are over the moon with the comfort. Koala promised free delivery and we live on Macleay Island in the middle of Moreton Bay Queensland - i thought there would be a catch or phone call asking for extra to get it on to the vehicle barge but they delivered it to our door as promised. All companies should honour their advertising like Koala 5 stars

FAQs about the Koala Polar+ Mattress

How do PolarBands™ keep me cool?

They are thermal bands that draw excess heat away from your body where it tends to build up most. This innovative tech is designed to keep you feeling cool for 8+ hours.

Can I buy the seasonal topper on its own?

The seasonal topper is an exclusive part of the Polar+ system. It's engineered to work perfectly with the internal cooling layers and is not sold separately.

How do I switch the topper for the season?

Simply unzip the topper, flip it to your preferred side (CoolThread® or organic cotton), and zip it back up. Easy custom comfort for any season.

How do I adjust the firmness feel?

Unzip the topper, flip the double-sided Kloudcell® comfort layer to choose between medium or medium-firm, and zip it back up. Customise your support at home.

Which firmness should I try first?

We recommend starting with the medium side. If you need more support after a few nights, simply flip the comfort layer for a firmer feel. Easy to adjust!

What makes the CoolThread® fabric cool?

It’s a special cooling yarn designed to feel instantly crisp and cool against your skin, while actively wicking away moisture to help you stay dry all night.

How do I care for the seasonal topper?

You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Please note that washing or dry cleaning will damage the Kloudcell® foam and may void your warranty.

Do I need to use a mattress protector?

We recommend you use a mattress protector to keep your Koala Polar+ looking its best. As the CoolThread® fabric will have the maximum cooling effect when it's closer to your skin, we suggest you try a lightweight protector like the Great Barrier Mattress Protector.

Who is the Koala Polar+ Mattress best for?

Struggling with heat: Your absolute best solution for sleeping hot, thanks to the deep internal cooling power of PolarBands™ technology.

Seasonal peace of mind: Never worry about being too hot or too cold—the simple-flip topper adjusts to your preferred climate instantly.

Your perfect feel: You prefer to make the final firmness decision at home, choosing the right level of support for your body.

The best investment: You're ready to buy a mattress once and know you're getting the most advanced, fully featured Koala design.

*Koala R&D testing found the Koala Polar+ Mattress achieves a surface temperature 5°C cooler than the Koala Plus Mattress over 8 hours.
