How to care for your new Joey Kids Mattress

Regular care (weekly)

Zip-off topper

  • Cold machine wash with a mild detergent.
  • Line dry in the shade.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Do not tumble dry.

Permanent cover

  • Do not remove permanent cover.
  • Wipe down with a damp cloth.

General

  • Do not wet or soak filling.
  • Rotate mattress regularly.
  • Vacuum mattress regularly on low suction.

Zip-off topper made with 100% Recycled Polyester

The zip-off topper is made from recycled post-consumer PET, helping to prevent the equivalent of over forty 550ml plastic bottles from going to landfill.

Like our products, our packaging is built with imagination in mind. Our boxes are designed to be re-used and repurposed so we create less waste. This box can be repurposed for imaginative play, or flattened and torn up to be placed in your recycling bin.

We offer same day delivery on furniture and mattress orders in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide (for in-stock products). Delivery is FREE on mattresses and small items and our fast & flexible furniture delivery lets you choose a window that suits you.

Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

    This mattress not only features supportive pocket springs that react to pressure, but it's created using Koala’s own Kloudcell® foam technology that promotes breathability, comfort, responsiveness, has a superior longevity and is CertiPUR-US® certified. With support right to the edge of the bed, it’s not too soft and not too hard, it’s just right for every kid.

      Comfy and practical

      This is a really comfortable mattress and a good sized bed for a child. It’s only slightly smaller than a single bed and still works with single fitted sheets.

    How do I dispose of the packaging that the Joey Kids Mattress comes in?

    The outer carton of the Joey Kids Mattress can be recycled.

    As we compress and roll pack the Joey Kids Mattress before shipment, it will arrive to you wrapped in plastic material to protect it from damage and seal it from decompressing.

    Currently soft plastics cannot be recycled through curbside recycling services, and since November 2022, the REDcycle scheme has been paused.

    In some parts of NSW there is a soft plastics recycling scheme run by Curby, or you can take a look at recyclingnearyou.com.au or contact your local council to find out more about recycling schemes near you.

    Can I wash the Joey Kids Mattress cover?

    The Joey Kids Mattress comes with a handy zip-off topper, that can simply be unzipped along the top edge of the mattress and popped in your washing machine.

    You can wash the zip-off topper in your machine on a cold cycle with a mild detergent, then line dry in the shade. Please don't use any bleach, and do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean the cover.

    To refit the zip-off topper, simply align the zipper clasp and zip all the way around. Do not remove or wash the permanent cover. Instead, you can wipe down with a damp cloth.
    While the topper is in the wash, it's still perfectly fine to fit a mattress protector and/or sheets over the permanent cover and use the mattress as normal.

    Can my kiddo still sleep on the Joey Kids Mattress while the zip-off topper is in the wash?
