How to care for your new Balmain Bookshelf

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Dust surface with a dry cloth or duster in the direction of the natural grain.
  • Protect from direct sunlight.Do not place hot objects directly onto the surface of the table.

Cleaning

  • Treat spills as soon as possible, wipe down with clean dry cloth.Do not use abrasive cloths, concentrated detergents, silicon based wood polishes

Safety and Use

  • Always secure this furniture to the wall using wall lanyards provided with the product.
  • Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over if not secured.
  • Do not allow children to stand, climb, sit or hang on the furniture.
  • Avoid placing heavy items or child appealing items like toys on the highest shelves.
  • Be aware that uneven or soft floor surfaces can affect furniture stability
  • Weight limit for each individual shelves and top panel is 10kgs load evenly distributed.
  • Periodically check and tighten gumnuts.

A wall lanyard is provided with the product. Please follow the instructions for the assembly. Fastening devices for the wall are not included as different wall materials require different types of fastening devices. Please seek advice from a qualified tradesperson to find a suitable fastening device for the walls in your home. If you are renting, talk to your agent or landlord about installing the wall anchors.

      An amazing bookshelf, beautiful, sturdy and sooo easy to assemble

      Really happy with our Balmain bookshelf. It is sturdy, of really high quality and is super easy to assemble.

      Sure it is more expensive than a famous furniture store from Sweden, but having both at home I can tell you that in terms of quality it is night and day!

      The Wood is beautiful and regarding the assembly it took me less than 15 minutes and I did it by myself.

      To sum-up if I would have to need a similar bookshelf, I would definitly buy this one again :-)

    We advise distributing weight evenly across each shelf, with heavier items preferably placed on the bottom shelf for optimal stability.
    The Top of the unit can safely support up to 10kg evenly distributed.
    Each individual shelf has a similar capacity of 10kg evenly distributed.

    Are there any toxic or harmful materials used in the lacquer?

    Balmain bookshelf has been thoroughly tested for the presence of volatile organic compounds such as Formaldehyde, Styrene, Toluene and meets the Australian Standards.
