Safety Information

While we design and engineer this product to be stable, we strongly recommend you use the anchors (lanyards) provided to secure it to a wall.

Seek advice from a hardware store or qualified tradesman on the best hardware to use to secure the anchor to your wall type. If you are renting, talk to your agent or landlord about installing the wall anchors.

Be aware that uneven or soft floor surfaces can affect furniture stability

Avoid placing heavy items or child appealing items like toys on the highest shelves.
Discourage small children from climbing on the furniture.

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Dust surface with a dry cloth or duster in the direction of the natural grain
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • Do not place hot or wet objects directly on the surface of the shelves
  • Do not put liquids directly onto the shelves, use coasters.

Cleaning

  • Treat spills as soon as possible, wipe down with clean dry cloth
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, concentrated detergents, silicon based wood polishes.

We offer same day delivery on furniture and mattress orders in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide (for in-stock products). Delivery is FREE on mattresses and small items and our fast & flexible furniture delivery lets you choose a window that suits you.

Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

      This is the second of these shelves that i have purchased and i love them so much! I have this tall one and also the short wide in another room. They are so easy to put together, loads of room for storage, deep shelves and lovely high quality finish. They feel sturdy but they arent difficult to move around the house. Assembly is a breeze. This is my third item from koala (also have a sofa) and i am very impressed by the quality and the style. Delivery was also a simple process. Very happy.

    Frequently asked questions

    How much weight can each bookshelf hold?

    We recommend evenly distributing the weight on each shelf and always placing heavier items on the bottom shelf.  Each shelf can comfortably hold 10kg with a max load of 45kgs in total for the bookshelf. 

    Do I really need to use the wall lanyards?

    Yes, we highly recommend it, especially if you have young children or pets. Toppling furniture poses a risk of injury or death. That is why we recommend securing the furniture item to the wall using the brackets provided. Consult a local hardware store for advice on the best hardware for your wall type.

    What space is there between the shelves?
    • 35cm gap between shelves
    • 8.5cm gap between the bottom of the foot and bottom shelf.
