King Sofa Beds

A 60cm extra-deep seat, Koala's award-winning Kloudcell® layer and fabric rub-tested to withstand 45,000 or more cycles all come standard on the King sofa bed, built on the same 4th generation platform as the rest of the range. Because King is Koala's largest and heaviest size, it ships with its own reinforced baseboard and extra-short legs, engineered specifically to keep it steady under everyday use. The result is a sofa bed that sleeps like a real mattress and holds up like proper furniture, tested and reinforced for its extra scale.

Mattress-level comfort in a bigger seat

A 60cm extra-deep seat and Koala's award-winning Kloudcell® layer bring genuine mattress-level comfort to the King size sofa bed, whether it's doing daytime lounging duty or hosting overnight guests. Kloudcell® is the same open-cell foam used across Koala's mattress range, built for pressure relief and better breathability than memory foam. Multi-layer seat comfort adds a plush pillow-top layer, a zoned backrest and firm edge support, keeping the seat supportive and secure through daily use. Pulled out, the King opens to a genuine 187.5cm wide sleeping surface with a removable, machine-washable mattress topper, plenty of room for two and easy to keep fresh between guests.

No mechanisms, no assembly, just pull and sleep

The King sofa bed converts from sofa to bed in seconds with a slide-and-sleep design, no pull-out spring mechanism or futon-style fold required. Strap, buckle and velcro fixings on the baseboard and mattress underside keep the folded mattress centred and secure, holding up to regular use night after night. It's the same simple mechanism used across every size in the Koala Sofa Bed range, engineered to work even at King's larger scale. That means less setup and more time actually using the extra space you've got.

Reinforced for its size, tested to match

King is Koala's largest and heaviest sofa bed size, so it ships with its own reinforced baseboard and two extra-short legs built specifically to keep it steady under everyday use. Front edge support foam keeps the seat from sagging or slipping forward over time, and fabric across the range is rub-tested to withstand 45,000 or more cycles, a benchmark used for commercial-grade upholstery. Covers are fully removable and machine washable, with replacement covers available whenever a refresh is due. Every part of the King has been engineered specifically for its extra scale.

Four generations of feedback, built into every King Sofa Bed

Koala's sofa bed range carries a 4.7-star rating from over 7,000 reviews, built on four generations of changes driven directly by what customers said needed fixing. Earlier versions were loved for looking and sleeping like a real sofa and mattress, and customer feedback about seat slippage and seat depth led directly to the buckle and strap retention and 60cm extra-deep seat now built into the King. That same product development process backs the whole Koala Sofa Bed range, so buying a King means buying into a design that's been refined by real feedback for years.

A genuine King size, with room to match

The King is Koala's largest sofa bed, with a 207cm overall width, roughly a 3.5 seater footprint, and a genuine 187.5cm wide sleeping surface once pulled out, comfortably fitting two. It comes in two fabric tiers exclusive to Koala, a Classic linen-look weave and a plusher, heavier Premium weave, both water-resistant and available across multiple colourways. A matching ottoman, sold separately and flippable from a cushioned seat to a side table, adds extra storage or surface space alongside it. Every King ships with the same removable, washable cover system as the rest of the range.
