Care

The removable, washable covers make cleaning your Koala Sofa Bed a breeze.

Regular Care
For your everyday care vacuum regularly (weekly) using low suction to remove dust and dirt and protect your sofa bed from direct sunlight.

Skip harsh chemicals and mop up spills quickly with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Removable Cover & Sleep Surface Care
When you need a more thorough clean, remove the outer covers of your sofa bed and always make sure to check the detailed instructions on the care labels sewn into the covers.

Spot clean as required or cold machine wash (maximum 30ºC) the removable covers separately from other items.

A few golden rules:
- Always check the labels on the product
- For spot cleaning, use a clean cloth and don’t scrub the covers with a stiff brush
- Don’t use bleach or other harsh chemicals
- Reshape the covers after washing whilst they’re wet
- Let the covers line dry in shade and make sure that they are completely dry before fitting them back on
- No ironing or tumble drying please!

Pilling
Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered a fault. Please check the care labels on your sofa bed to see if a battery operated pilling tool is suitable for the removal of fibre pills.

Tent Frame:
• Dust surface with a dry cloth or duster in the direction of the natural grain
• Avoid abrasive materials, strong chemicals, or silicone-based wood polishes
• Protect from direct sunlight
• Check and retighten gumnuts before each use. Inspect the general condition and safety

Tent Canopy:
• Cold gentle machine wash with similar colours
• Do not bleach

How should I wash the Playtime Sofa Bed covers to keep my sofa bed looking as good as new?

The Playtime Sofa Bed has some great new fabrics that make wash and care a cinch!

For regular care, we recommend a weekly vacuum on the lowest setting. The added water-resistant treatment on the cover fabrics means most water-based spills will bead and are easily wiped away with a clean cloth if you are quick about it. Please note that the lining fabrics are not water-resistant and are not machine washable, you will need to spot clean these inner components

For spot cleaning, use a solution of mild detergent and clean warm water and a clean cloth to carefully clean out the stain. Avoid rubbing too hard and do not scrub with a stiff brush. When spot cleaning, take care not to wet/saturate the filling, blot out any excess liquid with a clean cloth and make sure that covers are completely dry before putting them back on.

If your Playtime Sofa Bed looks like it's in need of a little more TLC, simply remove the covers and the topper along the velcro and by the zips and you will be able to throw them into your washing machine at home (please check the capacity of your washing machine and do not overfill it!)

Each cover has a care label letting you know how you need to launder it, please follow these directions closely. After washing, reshape the covers whilst wet and line dry in the shade. Covers cannot be tumble dried, ironed or bleached, this can cause damage or shrinkage. Always make sure that your covers are completely dry before reattaching them.

Do I need tools to assemble my sofa bed?

No tools needed! Your Playtime Sofa Bed is designed for quick, stress-free assembly. All parts simply slot, screw, or zip into place with the help of alignment guides and coloured tabs - no Allen keys or screwdrivers required.

Can I purchase additional or replacement Sofa Bed covers separately?

Absolutely! We offer the option to purchase additional or replacement covers separately. This allows you to change up the look of your Playtime Sofa bed or have spare covers for easy rotation and cleaning.

Please note, the cover sets are for the Playtime Sofa Bed only. Any sofa beds before this generation have fixed covers that cannot be changed or replaced. If you aren't sure which generation of the Playtime Sofa Bed you have, please reach out to our customer service team!

Can I keep the tent kit assembled at all times?

We highly recommend taking the tent kit down when not in use.

While the frame is perfect for playtime, it's not meant to be a permanent fixture in your living space. Taking the kit down and storing it properly after use is important to prevent accidental damage or injury from daily household activity.

How should I store the tent kit when it is not in use?

Storing the Canopy
The fabric canopy can be stored just like any other blanket, sheet, or throw!
• Fold or roll the canopy neatly.
• Store it in a linen closet, a blanket box, or a drawer.

Storing the Tent Frame
• Loosen the gumnuts on the tent frame and fold the tent frame for storage
• Store the folded frame in a cool, dry place, such as a cupboard, closet, or under a bed.

Keep the frame out of direct sunlight or areas of high heat (like near a heater or fireplace) to help prolong the life of the product.

How do I clean and care for my tent kit?

For the tent frame (i.e. tent poles and legs, hinges and leg caps), use a clean cloth to dust the frame or a damp cloth and clean along the grain of the wood. Avoid abrasive materials, strong chemicals, or silicone-based wood polishes.

When cleaning the tent canopy, always read the care label attached to the product and follow the instructions closely. If you are washing the canopy in the washing machine, make sure that the water temperature is cold, and that you are using the gentle or delicate cycle. Be careful of sharp objects as these can catch, snag or damage the tent canopy.

Can I purchase the tent kit separately?

At this stage you cannot purchase the Playtime tent kit as a separate item. These are sold as a bundle with the Playtime Sofa Bed only, bundle colours cannot be customised.
