Care

Removable Cover Care
Vacuum on low suction to remove dust and grit. Follow washing instructions on the care label for further cleaning.
Smooth & straighten covers: take a moment to align hems, smooth out wrinkles, and adjust covers to keep the silhouette sharp.
Position your ottoman away from direct sunlight to prevent fabric fading over time.

For spills & accidents
Act fast: blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
No scrubbing: avoid using stiff brushes or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the fabric fibres.

WARNING
Keep furniture a safe distance away from open flames and strong sources of heat (e.g. heaters, fireplaces, radiators, wall or floor vents). If left too close this may create a fire hazard or damage furniture, including internal frames and other components.
Do not modify or change any components within this product without specific advice from Koala. This will void your warranty and may cause instability, damage or collapsing of the frame, resulting in injury.
Careless use of cigarettes and matches could set fire to this product.

CAUTION
Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered a fault. Please check the care labels on your ottoman covers to see if a battery-operated pilling tool is suitable for the removal of fibre pills.

Velvet. In the machine.

Most velvet comes with a dry-cleaning bill attached. Ours doesn't. Our low-pile velvet has the drape and softness you'd expect, and none of the usual precautions.

Off, on, done.

Covers come off and go back on without a fight. When the room changes, or the colour stops feeling right, the Paddo can adapt.

Velvet, bouclé, linen-look.

A velvet with a low sheen, a high-loft bouclé with real texture, and a linen-look weave that keeps things calm. All designed by Koala, for Koala.

Made for spills and sleepovers.

A sofa bed hosts more than most furniture. Every cover resists water-based stains and goes in the machine, so a big weekend doesn't have to leave a mark.

FAQs about the Paddo Sofa Bed Ottoman

What's the volume of the storage cavity in the ottoman?

The internal dimensions of the Paddo Sofa Bed Ottoman are 15 cm x 52.5 cm x 68 cm, this equates to roughly 53 litre capacity in the storage cavity of the ottoman.

What’s the weight capacity of the ottoman?

If you plan to sit on the ottoman as a spare seat, the ottoman can withstand the standard domestic load of 120kg.

CAUTION: WHEN USING OTTOMAN AS A SIDE TABLE, RECOMMENDED MAX. WEIGHT 5KG. AVOID PLACING HEAVY ITEMS NEAR EDGES AS THIS MAY CAUSE INSTABILITY.

How do I clean and care for my ottoman?

Keeping your Paddo Sofa Bed Ottoman looking its best is simple with regular maintenance and quick action on spills!

Everyday Maintenance
Vacuum Regularly: Vacuum the fabric on low suction to keep it free from dust and grit.
Keep Out of Sun: Position your ottoman away from direct sunlight to prevent fabric fading over time.
Straighten Out the Covers: Take a moment to smooth out wrinkles, align the hems, and adjust the covers to keep your ottoman looking sharp.

Side Table Care: Dust the wooden surface with a dry cloth or duster following the natural wood grain. Always use coasters under drinks (hot and cold), make sure not to pop wet cups/glasses directly onto the side table surface, and avoid silicon-based polishes or abrasive cloths.

Cleaning & Spills
Act Quickly: Blot up liquid spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. Do not scrub with stiff brushes or use harsh chemicals, as this can damage the fabric fibres.

Fixed Frame Covers: Spot clean only using a mix of warm water and mild detergent. Blot out excess liquid using a clean cloth. Do not wet the internal filling or scrub the fabric. Allow it to thoroughly dry before using the ottoman again.

Removable Covers: Follow the specific washing instructions on the care label attached to your covers. Ensure covers are completely dry before putting them back on.

Important Care Warnings

  • Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean the fabric.
  • Do not remove the fixed lining covers for separate cleaning (even though they may have zippers).

Are the ottoman covers removable?

Yes! Just like the sofa bed, the covers of the Paddo ottoman can also be removed and machine washed.

For those wanting a spare cover set or those that want to change the vibe of their space, we offer cover sets that can be purchased separately. Head over to [insert link here] and see our full range of colours and fabrics. Cover sets include covers for all the throw cushions too!
