      Loving My Koala Luxe Mattress — Just Needed Some Time

      G’day team at Koala,

      I bought my Koala Luxe Mattress in August 2025. Thanks so much for the quick delivery! The packaging was great and the mattress arrived in perfect condition. The only thing I would suggest is that the box could have wheels, as it’s extremely heavy and a bit difficult to move.

      I wanted to take my time before writing this review, as Koala recommends allowing some time to get used to the new mattress. I didn’t sleep on it for the first 48 hours to let it settle and to give the new-mattress smell a chance to fade. The off-gassing smell was quite strong at first, and even after three months—and airing it out—it’s still noticeable, though slowly improving.

      It also took me a few months to get used to the feel of the Koala Luxe Mattress. At the beginning, I had a very sore back, but I persisted, and now it’s very comfortable.

      Overall, I do recommend the Koala Luxe Mattress. Just be patient and give your body time to adjust—and hopefully Koala can look into reducing that initial off-gassing smell.

      ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best mattress we’ve slept on

      We upgraded from the Koala Plus to the Koala Luxe Mattress and the difference is honestly huge. The Luxe is comfier, softer, and has that premium feel you notice as soon as you lie down. It’s supportive without being firm, and somehow manages to feel plush at the same time.
