Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Vacuum regularly using low suction
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • After use, you can floof the cushions to bring them back to shape

Cleaning

  • Remove any spills immediately by gently blotting any liquid stands with a clean cloth.
  • Scoop any sauces up before blotting the remaining sauces.
  • Use a mild detergent to gently remove any loose soilage.
  • Do not scrub with a stiff brush.
  • Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid.
  • Avoid over wetting as this may result in a water mark.

Caution: Pretest the cleaning method on a hidden area of the sofa. If change in colour, or transfer do not continue.

Pilling

  • Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should
    not be considered a fault.
  • Fibre pills can be removed with a battery operated pilling tool, available from most haberdashery stores.

Timber

  • Protect from direct sunlight

Cleaning

  • Treat spills as soon as possible, wipe down with clean dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, concentrated detergents, silicon based wood polishes.

Good to Know

  • Timber is a natural product and there will be variation in grain, colour and features such as knots.
  • Over time the colour of timber will naturally change.

  • Remember they are drawers not toys.
  • Do not jump or stand on the drawers.

  • Avoid dragging the sofa if you need to move it (remember to remove the drawers first).

      Loving our lounges

      We recently bought the Outback Koala lounges, including one with a chaise, and have been really happy with them. They’re very comfortable and seem to suit all ages — the young people especially love stretching out or piling onto them to relax. We often get positive comments from visitors about how good they look and how inviting they feel. I’ve swapped in some different colour cushions and throws to add a bit of pop, and the drawers underneath are handy for storing winter blankets. The natural style fits well in our space without being too showy, and they’ve held up nicely so far. Overall, a solid, comfy choice that’s been well-received in our household.

      Comfortable couch

      Couch was easy to assemble, and idiot proof. Potentially not as sturdy as I’d like as it creaks when you sit down heavily on it, but otherwise amazing.

      The underseat storage fits folded blankets and linen.

    Frequently asked questions

    How long does it take to use the seat cushion?

    Although you can use the product almost straight away, we recommend that you give the seat a few hours to decompress before use. It can take a few days for the product to fully expand to the proper size and recover to its correct comfort level.

    Can you remove the entire sofa cover or just the cushion covers?

    Covers should not be removed for cleaning. Please follow the care instructions in the upkeep of the sofa and you will be able to maintain the new condition of your fabric sofa for many years to come. If you have any questions about the upkeep of your piece, don’t hesitate to get in touch and our team will be happy to help.

    How do I maintain my cushions?

    We have engineered life laid back comfort into Getaway for maximum slouchability. And, unlike many other places that sell "comfort" , Getaway gets-away from needing any animal feathers in the cushions like duck or geese. After a period of use, a quick floof up and dressing of the cushion will have the sofa looking great.
