How to care for your new Byron Sofa Bed

Regular care (weekly)

  • Vacuum regularly using low suction.
  • Protect from direct sunlight.

Spot cleaning

  • Remove any spills immediately.
  • Use a mild detergent to gently remove any loose soilage.
  • Do not scrub with a stiff brush.
  • Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid.
  • Avoid over wetting as this may result in a watermark.
  • Allow the fabric to dry in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

Note: Pretest the cleaning method on a hidden area of the sofa.
If change in colour, or transfer do not continue.

Pilling

  • Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered a fault.
  • Fiber pills can be removed with a battery operated pilling tool, available from most
    haberdashery stores.

      Amazing Byron Sofa

      We love our Koala Byron Sofa. It’s so comfy and the fold out bed is especially good. Exceptional value and quality for the price. Its also super simple to put together.

      Love it

      When I bought this sofa bed, I wanted to take advantage of the assembly service Koala offers in metropolitan areas. Unfortunately, this wasn’t available for Perth. I’m a 60 plus mature single woman, and I really didn’t look forward to assembling this on my own, but I didn’t have a choice. So, with the help of YouTube, I started it. And boy, I’m so proud of myself. It took me approximately 2 hours and it was all done. It was pretty easy and everything fitted perfectly.

      The quality of the sofa bed is exactly what I expected, it’s sturdy and very comfortable.

      I’m very happy with the purchase.

      5 stars for fast and excellent delivery (thanks delivery drivers who had to navigate narrow Courbet’s), quality and easy assembly.

      Byron Sofa Bed

      I love my new Byron sofa bed. The colour is perfect and it was so easy to assemble (so I was told by my two assemblers!) There’s no effort at all involved in changing it from a sofa to a bed and as a bed it’s very comfortable. I’m very happy with this purchase.

    I have just opened my Sofa Bed cushion and it is out of shape/thin/wrinkled

    The mattress comes compressed for ease of transport and to reduce packaging. Once opened, you're able to sleep on it right away but we recommend allowing the sofa mattress to settle and recover for a minimum of 72 hours for it to reach it's full potential!

    Are the Sofa Bed covers removable?

    Even though there are zippers on some covers we don’t recommend removing them to wash.
    Instead, we recommend spot cleaning any nasty spills.

    Spot cleaning:
    - Remove any spills immediately.

    Will my Sofa Bed seating/ sleeping comfort change over time?

    With any new sofa, the seating and the foam will soften the first few months of regular use before it stabilises. This is normal and should not be considered a fault.

    Similarly, if you curl up or sit on one part of the seat cushion more often, it will will soften more than areas less used. As the foam softens and the sofa is used, it is normal for fabric the crease or wrinkle and this can be easily maintained.
