Protect & Care

How to care for your new Bangalow Modular Ottoman

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Vacuum regularly using low suction
  • Protect from direct sunlight

Cleaning

  • See inside covers for additional cleaning instructions

Frame & Arms

  • Spot clean as required
  • Remove any spills immediately
  • Use a mild detergent to gently clean any stains
  • Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid
  • Avoid over wetting as this may result in a water mark
  • Allow the fabric to dry in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight

Note: Pretest the cleaning method on a hidden area of the sofa. If change in colour, or transfer do not continue.

Pilling

  • Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered a fault
  • Fibre pills can be carefully removed with a battery operated pilling tool, available from most haberdashery stores

We offer same day delivery on furniture and mattress orders in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide (for in-stock products). Delivery is FREE on mattresses and small items and our fast & flexible furniture delivery lets you choose a window that suits you.

Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

      The Bangalow ottoman (large) is such a great addition to our living room and is so comfy for movie night. We love that it can double as an extra seat for guests

      It’s good but they charge you delivery?

      It’s a nice cosy couch and is comfortable and very sturdy. It was very easy to put together as well. I have no problems with the couch however I do find it ridiculous that you can buy a mattress (from as cheap as $650) and get free delivery however you buy a $4.5k couch ($5k if we include ottoman) and they slog you with an $85 delivery charge? The week after I bought my couch it was 20% off and free delivery (koala did refund me the 20% difference thank you to them). From a business perspective it’s silly by koala to charge the delivery free , Eva couch is delivered free and they’re your main competitor for consumers not wanting a big box traditional retailer. Your GP on the couch would be massive as most other retailers charge nowhere near your levels of price. You have to eat into your GP and offer free delivery on all furniture products as a lot of customers would have inertia when getting to the checkout and seeing the delivery charge added. I understand you offer 10% off the prices for signing up however that doesn’t stop the problem though because I can buy a $650 mattress and get 10% off and free delivery yet on a $5k couch I’m always slogged a delivery fee?

    Can I remove the covers?

    We've designed our Bangalow to be super easy to care for. All the covers are removable and can be cold washed at home. And each cover comes with detailed care instructions. We recommend not to warm or hot wash as this can cause excess shrinkage. No one likes shrinkage!

    Can a Bangalow Ottoman be connected to the Bangalow Modular Sofa?

    While the Bangalow Ottoman is not designed for direct connection to the modular sofa, they are versatile and can be placed alongside your seating arrangement for added comfort and convenience.

    My covers came unassembled, is this normal?

    Yes, the covers are designed to be added separately for ease of use and washing. Each cover will need to be put on as part of the assembly.
