How to care for your new Getaway Sofa

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Vacuum regularly using low suction
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • After use, you can floof the cushions to bring them back to shape

Cleaning

  • Remove any spills immediately by gently blotting any liquid stands with a clean cloth.
  • Scoop any sauces up before blotting the remaining sauces.
  • Use a mild detergent to gently remove any loose soilage.
  • Do not scrub with a stiff brush.
  • Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid.
  • Avoid over wetting as this may result in a water mark.

Caution: Pretest the cleaning method on a hidden area of the sofa. If change in colour, or transfer do not continue.

Pilling

  • Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should
    not be considered a fault.
  • Fibre pills can be removed with a battery operated pilling tool, available from most haberdashery stores.

Timber

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Wipe down with a clean damp cloth
  • Protect from direct sunlight

Cleaning

  • Treat spills as soon as possible, wipe down with clean dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, concentrated detergents, silicon based wood polishes.

Good to Know

  • Timber is a natural product and there will be variation in grain, colour and features such as knots.
  • Over time the colour of timber will naturally change.

  • Pull and push drawers in a straightwards direction.
  • Remember they are drawers not toys.
  • Do not jump or stand on the drawers.
  • Avoid sitting on the arms or backrest
  • Avoid dragging the sofa if you need to move it (remember to remove the drawers first).

3. For returns, simply disassemble furniture, fold mattresses, and keep original packaging for mattresses and upholstered items.

We offer same day delivery on furniture and mattress orders in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide (for in-stock products). Delivery is FREE on mattresses and small items and our fast & flexible furniture delivery lets you choose a window that suits you.

Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

      Happy with the Gateway

      After months of going back and forth, I finally pressed buy for the Gateway couch and love it. The drawers are perfect for bits and bobs of storage as our place has minimal storage. It was pretty easy to set up and love the design as it looks sophisticated yet so comfy

      Great couch

      The first thing we loved about this couch was that it all clips together, no tools required! This made it quick to put together and prevented any fights from happening.

      If you’re buying this couch you more than likely have a koala mattress, you won’t be disappointed in your purchase! It’s just as comfortable and supportive.

    Frequently asked questions

    How long does it take to use the seat cushion?

    Although you can use the product almost straight away, we recommend that you give the seat a few hours to decompress before use. It can take a few days for the product to fully expand to the proper size and recover to its correct comfort level.

    Can you remove the entire sofa cover or just the cushion covers?

    Covers should not be removed for cleaning. Please follow the care instructions in the upkeep of the sofa and you will be able to maintain the new condition of your fabric sofa for many years to come. If you have any questions about the upkeep of your piece, don’t hesitate to get in touch and our team will be happy to help.

    How do I maintain my cushions?

    We have engineered life laid back comfort into Getaway for maximum slouchability. And, unlike many other places that sell "comfort" , Getaway gets-away from needing any animal feathers in the cushions like duck or geese. After a period of use, a quick floof up and dressing of the cushion will have the sofa looking great.
