How to care for your Outdoor Lounge Chairs

Metal Components
- Regularly clean metal surface with mild soap, warm water and rinse clean and dry with a clean, soft cloth.
- Particular care must be taken when exposed to a salty environment.
- Do not use abrasive products or chemicals that can scratch the surface.

Plastic Components
- Clean plastic surfaces with a mixture of mild soap and water.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the material.

Timber Care
- Wipe down the furniture regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. This prevents buildup and maintains the wood's appearance.
- Direct sunlight can cause teak wood to fade over time. Consider placing outdoor furniture in shaded areas or using covers to protect it from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
- To prevent fading and maintaining the natural color of teak from sun, rain, moisture and other factors use teak protector regularly.
- Use Teak Protector only on teak wood to avoid discolouration, and other problems or maintenance-related issues.
- Do not place hot or wet liquids directly on the surface as it may mark the timber.
- To prevent scratches, avoid dragging sharp or heavy objects across the surface of the furniture. Use coasters or felt pads under items to protect the wood from damage.

Fabric Care:
- Regularly brush off dirt and debris from fabric surfaces. Do not scrub with a stiff brush.
- Remove any spills immediately.
- Spot clean stains promptly with a mild detergent and water solution.
- Do not machine wash.
- Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid.
- Do not bleach. Do not soak.
- Allow cushions to dry in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Do not iron.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not dry clean.

Always ensure seat cushions, fabrics are completely dry before storing.
During prolonged periods of non-use or inclement weather, store cushions and fabric components in a cool dry, ventilated area away from sun or use protective covers.

NOTE: Pre test the cleaning method on a hidden area of the cushion and timber. If there is a change in colour, discontinue use.

      Great new outdoor lounge

      Super quick delivery. Easy to assemble. Really sturdy and comfortable and I have a really bad spinal Injury and sitting is always problematic . Looks awesome. Now for a coffee side table. Even the neighbours cat seems to approve!

      Sturdy!

      We recently purchased the 3 seater outdoor lounge. Very well made and easy to put together. We love ours! Definitely more durable than anything else I could find.

      The only feedback that I have is that I wish the cushions were purchased separately, I never intend to use them as my lounge is out in the weather and not undercover. I think that would make this more affordable and also reduce the waste as it will just sit in a box :(

      Needed Something Chew-Proof

      I was looking for something chew-proof. I have two giant breed puppies, 35kg each, just over a year old. Think “puppy brain in an adult body”. And they love to chew things! They’ve already chewed through two old couches that were relegated to outside – I joked about those couches being the world’s biggest chew toys. We were already Koala customers with their great beds, and so I was keen to try out the Torakina outdoor furniture. We bought the two seater lounge, and two armchairs. Success!!! They are chew-proof, and incredibly sturdy, and so easy to put together. And they are very comfortable, even without the cushions. We left the cushions in their boxes for later – they would certainly become chew toys. And to be honest, the wooden armrests lasted less than five minutes before I saw bite marks, so I have removed those as well until the pups grow up a bit more. But I decided to write this review because I am thinking of buying another set for the new deck we are building. Highly recommended!!!

      Feels like it's always been there

      Bought the lovely sage-coloured two seater bench, and it fits seemlessly under our ornamental pear. It is of extremely robust construction and yet was assembled very quickly.

    Can I leave my outdoor furniture outside all year round?

    Some materials can withstand year-round exposure, but it's generally recommended to store furniture during extreme weather conditions. Covers and storage can significantly extend the life of your furniture.

    Can I pressure wash my outdoor furniture?

    We advise against pressure washing your Torakina furniture. Pressure washing can damage the wood and strip away its natural oils.

    Can I re-stain, paint or oil the timber?

    We do not recommend oiling, painting or staining the teak on your outdoor product. Painting or staining the teak will interfere with its natural weather-resistant properties and over-oiling can attract dirt and mildew. If you feel that the teak needs some protection, we suggest looking for teak protector rather than an oil. Please note that oiling, painting or staining the timber may also void your warranty

    How can I remove stains from the timber?

    Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, instead use a mild detergent solution or a vinegar solution (one part vinegar to three parts water) with a clean, soft cloth to gently scrub the stain away. Make sure to rinse the soap or vinegar solution away after cleaning and allow the furniture to dry completely in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

    Is it normal for teak to crack or develop splits?

    Yes, cracks and splits in teak are normal and can be caused by changes in moisture and temperature. These cracks are typically superficial and do not affect the durability or structural integrity of the table

    Can I put the cushions in the washing machine?

    Our outdoor range cushions are not made to be machine washed. If you need to clean any spills or stains, please spot clean with a mild detergent and water solution only. Make sure to blot out any excess liquid with a clean cloth and allow to dry away from direct sunlight.

    NOTE: always test your cleaning solution on a hidden spot in case of colour change or transfer
