How to care for your new Joey Guard Rail

Regular Care (Weekly)

  • Dust surface with a dry cloth or duster in the direction of the natural grain.
  • Protect from direct sunlight.
  • Do not place hot or wet objects directly onto the surface.

Cleaning

  • Treat spills as soon as possible, wipe down with clean dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, concentrated detergents, silicon based wood polishes.

      Damaged Product - No Response from Koala

      The Joey Guard Rail arrived with a small chip/dent. The paint has peeled off around the dent.

      I've reached out to the Support channels a couple of times over the last 11 days, but have not had a response.

      I'm hoping that someone from Koala reads this review and responds.

      The product itself seems functional and well made, apart from the slight damage. But based on the after-sales support, I would recommend other potential buyers stay away from Koala.

      Not made for regular mattress size

      Unfortunately, this bed rail is made to be used with the Joey mattress ONLY. We have the Koala mattress because the Joey mattress was delayed for approx 6 weeks when we went to buy our sons bed, but we bought the Joey frame so opted for the matching bed rail. Unfortunately, it is the exact same size as the depth of a regular mattress so it doesn't provide any use to us. Will be returning

      G'day Julia, We are so sorry the Joey Bed Rails were not what you were expecting and you could not pair your Joey Bed Base with a Joey Mattress like you wanted to! The Joey Range has been a smash hit since being introduced and unfortunately, stock was a little low while we raced to keep up with demand. However, you are absolutely right in regards to using the guard rails with a standard Koala mattress. We do not recommend using the Guard Rails with any mattress with a height of more than 16cm as we outline on the warning label and safety instructions on our product pages for the bed base and guard rails :) Thankfully we have our 120-night trial on all our products and I'm glad you were able to take advantage of this for the Rails which were not fit for purpose in your case!       Great extra protection

      Love the bed, mattress and guard rail

      I purchased the whole kit and kaboodle (bed frame, mattress and 2 guard rails) for my daughters first bed, after she decided that she was done with her cot and wanted to sleep on her cushy sofa for a week.

      Love the products. Highly recommend. They’re so sturdy and safe and she still sleeps through the night using her bed. Thanks Koala 🐨

    Can I use the guardrail on the footboard end?

    No, the guardrail can only be installed on the headboard end. However, you can have two guardrails on either side of the headboard.

    When should we use the guardrail?

    We recommend using guardrails for kids only during sleep time.

    Can the guardrails be used on other beds?

    The Joey guardrail is designed for use with the Koala Joey Bed and is not designed to be used with other beds.
