Product description

Inspired by the colours of Australia’s native foliage and our mission to tread lightly, the 100% rPET Bottlebrush rug pile is made from recycled plastic bottles. With plastic out of landfill and waterways, this rug proudly eases our eco footprint.

How to care for your new {{product.name}}

Use a rug underlay, to be placed under the entire rug (trimmed to size) to protect your floor and the rug.

Regular care (weekly)

  • Regular airing is recommended. Vacuum the rug on low suction vacuum rug regularly at least once or twice a week depending on foot traffic. To avoid dirt getting deep into the fibres, rotate the rug regularly. Do not use harsh chemicals/bleach as they may damage or fade the rug colour keep away from fire and direct heat sources.
  • Must be completely dry before storing away to prevent mould/mildew
    avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight.

Spot cleaning

  • Attend to the stains immediately do not rub.
  • Use paper towels to absorb.
  • Scrap off any solids with a knife or spoon carefully.

Note: Being hand woven/tufted, you may experience some sprouting of small tufts of fibres. This is a natural occurrence and not a manufacturing defect. Any individual threads that have come loose can be simply cut even with the pile surface. Shedding and pilling is normal due to the nature of the construction. Free metro delivery on any order with a mattress. Regional deliveries are charged per item.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro customers can also select premium delivery that includes assembly and rubbish removal on select items at an additional cost.

      Lovely rug

      This rug is great quality. It’s nice and thick, and comfy to sit on. I’d buy another but my greyhound loves it so much he keeps running around and playing on it / with it.

    How often should I get my rug cleaned?

    Wool rugs require a professional clean every 1-3yrs, Frequency depends on the level of activity and how often are stains removed, properly vacuumed.

    Jute and Jute blended rugs —vacuum regularly or dust when required. These rugs should not be wet cleaned.

    Is a wool rug better than a jute rug or a synthetic rug?

    Wool is natural, renewable, planet friendly and ocean safe.
    Our wool rugs are made from natural NZ wool, using the highest standards to ensure they are not only responsibly sourced but are also ethically sourced.

    Jute and Jute blend rugs
    Our Jute and Jute blended rugs are made from Jute which is a durable colour that can withstand high traffic areas and has minimal shedding, good for homes with pets, though not 100% pet proof.

    Recycled Polyester rugs
    The tufted colours are made using recycled plastic bottles, so for every rug made, it means less waste going into landfill. These rugs are easy to care for and extremely versatile.

    Can I put my rug under the furniture?

    Yes, however due to the rugs being handmade, care must be taken to rotate the rug occasionally. Avoid placing a chair with castor wheels e.g. an office chair, as it can get caught in the weave and damage the rug.
